Delete Document Acknowledgment

Requires ADMIN or MANAGE_DOCUMENTS permission and the document acknowledgments feature for the target.

Soft-deletes a pending acknowledgment by setting removedAt and updatedAt, and removes its reference on the owner atomically. The acknowledgment record is retained. Ad hoc eligibility is determined from current role requirements: no assigned role may require the document. No creation-source flag is stored. Completed acknowledgments are retained. The acknowledgment watcher cancels pending notifications.

The delete action is available on the acknowledgment detail page, reached by selecting an acknowledgment in Document Acknowledgment History. A confirmation is required.

No request body is needed. Success returns 200 with the message Acknowledgment deleted. Missing or already removed instances return 404. Completed or role-required instances, or recipients whose requirements cannot be verified, return 409.

Example

Replace {targetPath} with the target path (for example, organization/org-id/tenant/tenant-id), {instanceId} with the acknowledgment instance ID, and the bearer token with an access token for a user with ADMIN or MANAGE_DOCUMENTS permission.
